Magnetik is an integrated advertising and marketing agency born in 2005 out of the frustration that comes along with big company politics and red tape. Led by award-winning creative directors Doug Steinberg and William Kunkel, Magnetik specializes in integrating online and offline programs with a focus on results, without sacrificing brand positioning.

We have built a team that encompasses a broad skillset and allows us to develop programs that are more creative, less expensive and more successful than some of the largest agencies in the world.

Meet The Team

Team Member

Doug Steinberg

Doug has played many roles in his career, including music producer, production manager, art director, graphic designer, copywriter and creative director. After being appointed Group Creative Director at Grey Direct, where he managed creative duties for accounts like Chase, Adobe Systems Inc., Xerox and CheapTickets.com, Doug decided it was time to build a better business, and formed Magnetik with Will Kunkel.

Doug lives in Manhattan with his wife and several laptop computers.

Will Kunkel

After stints at Direct Partners (now Tequila) and Viacom, Will was off to McCann Relationship Marketing where he created integrated campaigns for Sprint B-2-B and helped lead the agency to winning the Xbox Live account. He then served as a Creative Director at Grey eMarketing and Grey Direct, managing the Adobe Systems Inc. and CheapTickets.com accounts. He formed Magnetik with Doug Steinberg as a New year’s resolution to have more control over creative work.

Will lives on Long Island with his wife and 3 boys, where he can be found mangling his home improvement projects despite the best of intentions.

Diandra Mintz — Account Executive

Diandra graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Graphic Design fully intending to be a designer. However, she quickly learned that her true passion for strategy, research and managing a project from inception to completion was better served in account management. In 2006, Diandra joined the Magnetik team where she is responsible for maintaining client relationships and supervising all work to ensure it meets client needs.

Diandra currently lives in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Aaron Wilson — Design Director

Indiana born and Ohio trained, Aaron Wilson has been creating award winning print and web designs in NYC for over 10 years. Having work that’s appeared in industry prominent publications such as Creativity Annual and How Magazine, Aaron says his success is measured more by the adulation of friends and family, “I never set out to be a design star. I’m just happy to have a place to do cool stuff and share it with people I care about.”

Aaron lives and drinks in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. His other interests include writing, reading sc-fi, snowboarding, making comedy videos, feeding his cats, and spending time with his fiance.
